Description

Potassium sulfate – is used to enrich the soil in greenhouses and outdoors, stimulating proper growth and active fruiting of various crops. The fertilizer is available in the form of a white powder with a gray tinge. Crystals of potassium sulfate (fertilizer) have a sour-bitter taste, soluble in water. The main element of the composition is potassium (50%), the rest – sulfur, magnesium and calcium. Opponents of chlorine may not be afraid – this fertilizer is not. Potassium, as one of the three main elements for plant development, is responsible for their growth and development and helps increase yields. Due to potassium in plant cells metabolic processes take place, crops become resistant to pests and diseases, winter frosts. The fruits increase the amount of vitamins and substances useful to humans. Potassium is involved in protein and carbohydrate metabolism of plants, activates ammonia nitrogen, increases water holding capacity and resistance of plants to wilting. Potassium deficiency inhibits the movement of carbohydrates in the plant, protein synthesis and photosynthesis. Any soils are suitable for fertilization with potassium sulfate – gray, sandy, peat, podzolic, etc. To better absorb the substance in loam, it is recommended to make it closer to the roots of plants.
