Assessments of the underground situations and of the geological and hydrological situations in the mines will be conducted, and recommendations for a geophysical Monitoring System will be compiled on a mission report prepared by the team of experts.
The aim of the Expert Mission is to find a suitable monitoring system as quickly as possible to avoid risks and dangers for human life, the existing infrastructure and the environment within the mining influenced zones around Stebnyk and Kalush. During the mission, the team of experts will meet with representatives of different public administrations and mine operators aiming at raising awareness, building up and strengthening capacity for the requirements of the Mining Waste Directive as well as for the possible risks of closed mining sites.
